Hello everyone,
I will soon be undergoing cytoreductive surgery at Hôtel-Dieu de Québec, in Canada, and I am also scheduled to receive HIPEC (heated intraperitoneal chemotherapy).
At first, I was really excited about this option. I saw it as an innovative treatment that could potentially improve my chances of living longer.
However, as the days go by, I find myself becoming increasingly anxious, especially after reading about some of the risks associated with HIPEC.
I would really appreciate hearing from those of you who have undergone HIPEC. Where did you have it done? How was your experience? Were there any complications, and how was your recovery?
