This October, the International Gynecologic Cancer Society (IGCS) World Conference is coming to Montreal, bringing together gynecologic cancer experts, researchers, healthcare professionals and advocates from around the world.

As part of the conference, IGCS is hosting a Patient Advocacy Summit on Saturday, October 3, 2026, and YOU are invited to take part. This is a unique opportunity to connect with other patients and advocates, learn from one another, and ensure the experiences and perspectives of people affected by gynecological cancer are part of the conversation.

There are two ways you can participate:

Attend the Patient Advocacy Summit – FREE

The program will feature patient-led discussions, educational sessions and conversations focused on survivorship, research, clinical trials, prevention, policy and more. There is no cost for patients and advocates to attend the Summit, all you need to do is register! Register and learn more about the agenda

If you live outside Montreal and would like to attend in person, the Society of Gynecologic Oncology of Canada (GOC) is offering a limited number of travel grants to support patients and caregivers in attending. Applications for these grants are due September 10th. You can find the application form by clicking here. If you have questions about these travel grants, please reach out to enquiry@gyneoncology.ca.

Share your ovarian cancer experience – even if you can't attend in person

You can also be part of the Patient Advocacy Summit from wherever you are-even if you're not attending in person. You are invited to submit a short, one-minute video sharing your experience. These videos will be incorporated into the Patient Advocacy Summit, helping bring the voices and experiences of Canadians living with gynecological cancer directly into this international gathering.

Whether you attend in person or share your story, your voice can help shape the conversation about gynecologic cancer care. We hope to see you there.

As an aside, unless you are attending in person you cannot participate live during the session however, on the website it says that, "Select portions of the Summit will be recorded and will be available by October 16th on IGCS YouTube channel.
