Has anyone here ever experienced compulsive yawning?  If I take a deep breath, I often have to yawn, when I get in a car I often yawn...and many times between.
Actually before my first bout of cancer, one morning it suddenly started happening and I had to yawn about 40 times in a row.  (went to the doctor and he said first I'd have to do sleep apnea test to rule ou which I thought was garbage so never did).  It kept occurring but at a reduced rate..over time it had subsided a lot.  But recently started up a bit more; also a bit more burping.
I think now that it might related to inflammation in my esophagus...but i'm not a doctor.  Just curious if it strikes a bell anywhere.

@brendalee I have not heard of that before related to OVC cancer or a treatment side effect (unless it is a direct side effect of a drug e.g., sleepiness). However, I am no medical doctor either. Definitely worth making note of and asking your oncologist/medical team. Please let us know what you learn.

I also hope it has dissipated.

It's not a treatment side effect, as the worst case of it was before I was even diagnosed (started in December of 2021 and I was diagnosed in late summer 2022).

brendalee, I don't do the yawning, but I sure do the burping since getting sick and taking Olaparib. I also get heartburn here and there, which tends to lessen if I drink a good amount of water.
