Teal Sisters, please join me in welcoming the newest members to OVdialogue. How everyone chooses to interact with the site is a personal choice. Some like to be silent observers of discussions while some like to search the site for information relative to their experience. Others like to engage in discussions or start one right away.  There is no right or wrong approach. OVdialogue is here for all Teal Sisters as a resource in the capacity that works best for each of us.

If you are comfortable and haven't done so already, please introduce yourselves. Story sharing can create connection. You can start a NEW POST if you have a question, using the black button at the top right of your screen. In the "Discussion Topic" you can post the item you are interested in e.g., Steroids during chemo. If you are introducing yourself, just type Introduction as the subject.

As well, you can capture your personal cancer journey/story in the BIO section of your Profile. This is a personal choice, not a requirement. If you want to modify your BIO, just click on your little "circle" near the top right of this page. Go to the "Profile" section and then click on the "pen" symbol to the right of BIO. Also a tip, if you are using an iPad, turn your iPad horizontally as sometimes the full screen doesn't show correctly in vertical mode.

Regardless of how you choose to interact with OVdialogue, please know that you have a force of strong, courageous, knowledgeable and resilient Teal Warriors behind you! As the site moderator, I too am an Ovarian Cancer Warrior. Along with @LeslieA our Community Champion, we are here to help you as best as we can as you navigate and lend your voice to this site🩵.

Hello @joanathome and welcome again. Thank you for sharing your journey thus far. How are you feeling now that it's been a year since your last treatment?

We have a few endometrial cancer sisters in this forum @andyro and @MissERP to name a few.

I hope we will be able to provide you with support as needed. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. There tends to be a lot of wisdom on this site and quite a few overlaps in treatment between OVC and EC. We appreciate you being here!

Thanks!  Feeling good so far.  Back to all 'regularly scheduled' things in my life.  Currently every three months for checkups.  Was supposed to see Gyn/Onc in early May, but was waitlisted.  Now booked for mid-June.  Tolerated radiation pretty well and haven't had issues until April.  Have been using dilator once a week as recommended by my Radiologist, but have had some bleeding the last few times.  Am trying not to get too far into my head over it-hoping it is just lack of moisture.

@joanathome glad to hear you tolerated your treatments well and are back to living life as best you can. Sorry to hear about the 'waitlisting'. I can only imagine how frustrating that may be however perhaps you aren't considered a priority as you are doing well (that's me trying to find the positive spin).

I see a doctor in the Sexual Health Clinic at Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) in Toronto. It's typically a year between appointments which is very sad but they only operate for an afternoon once a month. Very concerning that there is such scant resource support available to women post treatment, especially on the pelvic/sexual health front. I'm going to ask about the dilator tomorrow when I meet with the doctor. For moisture, I've tried an estrogen insert called "Intrarosa" to help with dryness. Sadly, it's not working. I also have a pelvic health physiotherapist. Even those sessions can be painful. I definitely need a new plan of attack! Thanks for mentioning the dilator. That could be an option.

    Stay well!
