Hello all,

I know we have quite a few OVdialogue members who are participating in the upcoming "Walk of Hope". The countdown is on!! We have individuals from coast to coast which is really exciting. I can't wait to hear everyone's experience. Here's wishing everyone a great walk day full of sunshine. As well, a thank you to everyone for your fundraising efforts. As the primary fund raising event for Ovarian Cancer Canada, your hard work is very meaningful. If anyone has any inspirational fundraising ideas please share. I know @LeslieA has been selling some of her beautiful paintings as part of her fundraising efforts ❤️. Sometimes the personal items can have tremendous impact. Go Teal Warriors!!!

That is a comfort chicken! lol. Who knew?

My friend's sister knitted him for the Nanaimo Cancer Clinic.  Quite hilarious and definitely a laugh for the staff and patients.

@Ellen well I have not heard of that before but now I LOVE it. 

@Ellen how was the Chris Botti concert? I have a dear friend who LOVES him. She tries to see him every time he's in the Toronto area. We had a great Sax performer on our recent cruise. His name is Oli Nez from the U.K. He was charming, great sax player and funny storyteller.

He was great and it was really a nice way to spend the weekend in Victoria. I find planning concerts, dinners and visits between the treatments such a good distraction. Next concert: Candlelight Vivaldi's Four Seasons. :)

@Ellen a weekend in Victoria sounds wonderful. I haven't been there for over 30 years. It has no doubt changed. Those sound like great distractions and oooh, Vivaldi up next. I love it. I've never been to one of the candlelight concerts. Let us know how it is and enjoy.

I plan to be there too!  I am glad the walk is later in September when the weather is cooler. After so much chemo my skin can't take a lot of sun. I hope to see you all there in Victoria BC!  I am so grateful everyday to still be here and to be able to walk in the fundraiser.  Do any of you know Jennifer Smith?  She has raised over $30k every year for the cause!  Her Christmas baked goods are absolutely, delicious.
