I received my radiation schedule each Friday. The first schedule was given by phone and email by the radiation booking nurse. I kept her contact and used it to change to times that were more suitable.
The ongoing schedules were provided by the radiation technician at the end of each week.

Sounds good. Nice to know you have the option.
I had a roommate who was having gynaecological radiation. She did well…found that a nap in the afternoon worked for her.
You will find that your care team will be very accommodating and will work with you to find a radiation schedule that works for you. The only thing they can't control is the CT/MRI schedules. You have to take what you get. Although I have also found PMH CT to be a little flexible too. I have arrived early for CT appointments (about two hours) and they have usually been able to fit me in. I don't do it on a regular basis but nice to know that you may be able to do it once in a while. The other thing to note is that a CT or MRI may be booked at Toronto General or Toronto Western - PMH is under construction.
That's all I can think of right now. If I think of anything else, I'll post for you.
If you have any questions, let me know.

Thank you so much for all of this info. Nice to hear your experience there was positive. We come from the north of the city and are looking at taking the subway down from Vaughn as it arrives right near Princess Margaret at Queens Park. Just don't know yet if side effects might make this a bad choice. Will try out a week driving and see as we already paid for 10 days of discount parking before exploring our options. ….and I still don't have a schedule yet. Waiting is a bit stressful as I know it's growing but out of my hands. Thanks again.

I agree with @Alwayslearning!! The Lodge is a Godsend!! I have been an in/out guest for 2-3 nights for each of my chemo treatments for over a year now. I live in the London area and drive myself there. There are many patients on radiation who stay for weeks on end. You also have the option of going home for weekends. The Lodge is $30 per night/per guest and offers 3 meals a day, with two choices for each meal, and a shuttle to/from PMH.
Accommodation may require you have a roommate…let me assure you that is not as bad as I had imagined. I have made some amazing friends from the Lodge.
If you'd like to know more about a long stay at the Lodge, let me know, I can give you some tips and tricks to make your stay more comfortable from the outset.
You also have two options for parking your vehicle for the stay. There is a lot just south of the Lodge that costs $25/day. I like to have my car handy, so I keep it near. The hospital also offers a discount rate for patients at a lot near the hospital. A lot of people will drive in on treatment day, park at the hospital lot and then leave their car there for the duration and use the shuttle. Those that go home on weekends, pick up their car from the hospital lot after their last treatment of the week and repeat.
I do not have info on this handy, let me see if I can find the info for you.
I have two weeks in June that I will be there for three nights each week…it would be wonderful to meet you there.
I have tried to provide basic info here…if you have questions, ask them here or private message me.
You must be feeling overwhelmed. I hope the above information is helpful.
🤗

The radiation team at Princess Margaret in Toronto has decided I need radiation treatments 5 days a week for 5 weeks with weekends off. I didn't expect so many as the drive is 2+ hrs each way but not much we can do about that! Feels like coming out of retirement and back to work at 72. Time of day isn't yet scheduled CT , MRI and tattoo is next Monday. Glad it's quick as it's growing!!

I have metastatic endometroid carcinoma or might be endometrial serous carcinoma. Seems they can't mail it down but say treatment would be the same paclitaxel carboplatim.
Had 3 rounds and then Ct which showed the tumour grew from 2" to 2.5". Only good news is it hasn't showed elsewhere thankfully. Dr. says now on to radiation as the cells seem resistant to chemo. Going tomorrow into the city for the consult. Anyone else experience these results ?
