Ovarian Cancer Canada has been approached by researchers at the University of British Columbia, who are seeking to better understand the lived experiences of long-term partners of individuals diagnosed with cancer during adolescence or young adulthood (ages 15–39). The study, Lived Experiences of Partners of Patients Diagnosed During Adolescence and Young Adulthood (LOVERS), aims to better understand partners' perspectives and support needs.
Participation is entirely voluntary and involves a one-on-one interview (approximately 60–90 minutes). Participants are offered a $100 honorarium in recognition of their time, as well as reimbursement of up to $140 for one counselling session with a counsellor of their choice.
Please note: This opportunity is intended only for long-term partners (e.g., spouses or significant others) of individuals diagnosed with cancer during adolescence or young adulthood. It is not intended for patients themselves. OCC is not involved in conducting the study and is sharing this information for awareness only.
