It's scan day for me!  First one since I completed my treatment last week😬. I know I'm not alone in the feelings that go with this.  Just putting it out into the world for positive vibes🩵💪

scsn day has one level of anxiety for me but follow up day with Oncologist is even more  scary. At least for me 

I see my Oncologist on Wednesday September 17th. 
'I try to not let the thoughts and fear consume me but 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🩵🌻

I'm slow to reply, but I wanted to say that I can't take credit for the term "scanxiety." I'm pretty sure that I first saw it in this forum.  I've used it a lot in conversation since then. In my experience, people "get" it, even if they can't relate to it personally. 

@asatino good luck on Wednesday with your oncologist 🤞🙏🏻🩵. Time to keep yourself busy so your mind is busy with stuff until then

Scans ~"no recurrence in the pelvis.  No new or significant residual omental disease.  2 perifissrural pulmonary nodules in rt. Lower lobe stable since feb 2025."

@Meinvan it looks like you got some good scan results there. Enjoy today, do something nice to treat yourself. I'm just curious, when you had your surgery did they remove the omentum? It seems like surgical procedures vary from province to province

@melissa thank you.  My sweet boy went and bought his mom a stuffy and a blue/lavender colour cake to celebrate this news.  There were happy tears today.

yes I had my Omenteum and appendix removed during surgery.  I'm in BC.

@natloy3460 I agree we have all 'got this".  We are strong amazing women.  Yes today is a new day, a new start.  I know there will be up a and downs along this journey but for now and today I'm taking this for a win.💪🩵🙏🏻

@natloy3460 definitely some great messages. Thank you. I read somewhere early in my diagnosis that "95% of the things we worry about, never happen."  I have no idea if this is true however I try to keep it in the back of my head through my journey.  Thank you for your positivity. ❤️

@Meinvan well that sounds like good news. I hope you are breathing a huge sigh of relief and treating yourself with a big hug today. You've come far in a short timeframe. 👏👏🍾🍾

What, if any, are your next steps in the journey?

@Alwayslearning thank you. Yes today we eat cake!  Lol.   I see my oncologist Oct 6th, we haven't discussed to post plan yet.  Still. To sure as discussed before if I will be offered a PARP or not.  I'll keep you posted on our post chemo discussions.  Lab work next week.🤞🩵🙏🏻
