Last year I was invited to participate in a joint initiative between Health Canada, Ovarian Canada Canada (OCC) and an organization called "Waiting Room Revolution" regarding the development of a resource tool for patients, families and caregivers navigating an ovarian cancer diagnosis. The "roadmap" which is now available, is designed to help patients play an active role in their care and promote open conversations amongst their healthcare team and loved ones about where things are and what to expect later. As you will see on the tool, it clearly directs people to Ovarian Cancer Canada (which I would consider as the primary resource group on this topic). This 'roadmap' is however another tool that looks at "key life changes" to expect and critical things to think about that support living with your diagnosis.
The link below is to the Roadmaps. The first one is for Ovarian Cancer however there are also roadmaps available for Alzheimer's Disease, ALS, Chronic Obstructive, and Pulmonary Disease. I'm sharing in the event this is of interest or value to anyone.
