    The OC Walk of Hope was a wonderful success all the kind hearted supportive people coming together on a beautiful sunny day. We raised over $10,000.00 for our mutual cause.

    it meant the world to me and everyone affected by Ovarian Cancer.

    It was great to be there and see a community supporting this cause. Thanks to all of you who raised funds. It was gorgeous weather too!
    I would love to see this event in a more visible venue next time.

    That is a good point @Ellen. Our venue in Victoria was in a far corner of the Langford recreation centre, surrounded by ongoing soccer games & other activities. It was hard to locate our venue, as I didn't know the layout of this huge property and the parking was challenging. 

    We should be more physically visible for events like this, so that the public becomes more aware and lives are saved. I was hoping that there would be some media coverage, but I didn't see any. After all, the invisibility of this disease has been the problem all along, both in early detection, diagnosis, and generally being overlooked for the development of more effective treatments. 

    I completed the feedback form already, but didn't think about the idea of visibility, which is really important. Thanks for bringing this up!

    I sent out messages to CHEK and the Colonist weeks in advance but no response. I will follow up with them. Because awareness is a key goal, I would love to see the walk in downtown Victoria...around the inner harbour, Beacon Park or the other side or Dallas Rd. I did put this on my survey. Having said all that, I am very grateful for all the work done. It was a well organized and worthwhile event! ❤️

    Hope you all had an amazing day.  I agree more visibility and talk about our walk would be great.  This weekend is run for a cure, you know you can guarantee there will be media coverage. Congrats to you all for participating.  I didn't walk but I did make a donation to OCC.

    @florence2022 what a lovely poster and I love all your Teal clothes. You definitely came out to represent!! I'm glad you had a great weather day and congratulations on the fun raising. Every $ counts as we know. You were definitely surrounded by a lot of love. Thank you for sharing all you photos.
