Hi Karen@heslopk and welcome to the forum. I am a former Edmontonian. How are your treatments going?  If you have a chance feel free to share your background story. That sometimes helps make additional connections with other Teal Sisters. My story is on my personal page. If you have any specific questions regarding treatment or OV cancer, this is an amazing resource group. I look forward to learning g your journey. Talk soon.

I am halfway through my chemo "journey" which started out fairly mild in terms of symptoms but have with each treatment become stronger and longer. Bone pain has required opioids to manage. My last treat will be in March and I don't really feel that ringing the bell is for me. I was surprised that my daughter reacted so strongly to this.I'd be interested to hear from others. I'm a retired academic and think this would be a good research topic.

@heslopk I think the bell ringing is absolutely a personal choice. To me it's similar to people who felt I needed someone to sit with me during my infusions when personally, I would have been fine being on my own. There are things that have more meaning to some than others.
For me, the bell ring was emotional however I found that it was also an opportunity for some form of "celebration" for my hubby, son & his fiancée who had supported me over my six rounds of chemo. You are correct, it would be an interesting study.

I'm sorry you are experiencing such intense bone pain. No doubt March can't come soon enough.
