Hoping the new year turns out great for all of us. With my CA125 showing another rise in this week's lab results (despite clear scans), my heart is filled with apprehensions and fears. Hoping the new year brings happier joyous days filled with good news about our health.

I am hoping that you remain well and the CA125 is not related to your worry. Sending you best wishes!

@Keepingfaith. I pray that the scans stay clear for a very long time, and your ca125 stabilizes and stays low.  I know it's so nerve racking watching and waiting, it's always in the back of my mind too.  🩵👊🙏🏻

@Keepingfaith I am hoping the scans which tend to be the gold standard of information, are what's accurate. The CA 125 can be so troublesome as it's influenced by so many things. I've had it rise 8 or 9 points and scans come back fine. I hope you will be able to find some calm in your mind. We all know how tough it can be. Sending positivity your way as we enter the new year. 🤞

Hi @Keepingfaith ... checking in to see how you are doing. You mentioned the rising CA125 despite the clear CT scan. I wanted to see how things are going. I recently had a CA 125 and a week apart the measure went from 18 to 22. Added to that, the day I had the first bloodwork done, I was in a ton of abdominal pain. The second time, the pain was almost 90% reduced and yet the number went up. So the CA 125 really is a troublesome measure. It's so influenced by any inflammation and I truly believe, stress in our system. Yet, it gets into our heads doesn't it?! I remember at the start of my journey my Gyn Onc said she really despised the measure as it's influenced by so many things going on in our bodies, but we tend to fixate on it and it can make us panic so easily. This disease really is a mind mucker isn't it (I wanted to use a different word if you get my drift but respectfully that would not be appropriate on this site 😁). Regardless, I hope you are doing well.

@Alwayslearning. Thank you so much for your replies. Yes, the CA125 just stays on our minds despite clear scans. I have insisted my oncologist to get PET scans done. She's trying to book an appt for that. Thank you so much for checking in ❤️.

@Keepingfaith good for you. Self advocacy is so important. Out of curiosity and only because I don't really know the answer, why a PET scan vs a CT scan?

I wanted some other testing too for my peace of mind because of the rising CA125. Thank you @Alwayslearning.
