    Dear OVdialogue community,

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that @strongowoman, cherished OVdialogue moderator, Community Champion and beloved member of our community, has passed away.

She was more than just a moderator - she was a guiding presence, a generous soul, and a tireless supporter of everything this community stands for. Whether it was through her thoughtful insights, endless patience, or kind encouragement, she left a mark on so many of us. Her contributions helped shape this space into what it is today.

I know many of you will want to share memories, condolences, or simply take a moment to reflect. Please feel free to do so in the comments below - we will be collecting messages to share with her loved ones, should they wish to see how deeply she was appreciated here.

Let's honour her by continuing to foster the kindness, inclusion, and spirit of connection she worked so hard to build.

Rest now, @Strongwoman, you will be dearly missed.

I'm heartbroken to hear this news.  It was around this time 2 years ago that I joined this forum and @Strongwoman greeted me, as she did everyone with kindness and understanding.  She guided me through chemo, surgery and more chemo.  She was a source of valuable information when I shared my issues with a bowel blockage. Foremost she was a voice of hope and inspiration.  I was always amazed at all the things she accomplished while battling her own disease and complications.  I was so pleased to be able to put a face and voice to her name when she presented a segment on legacy projects during the 2023 National symposium.  Oh the many gifts she so thoughtfully and lovingly crafted for her loved ones.  Each one so unique and I hope those receiving them will feel her love and spirit and cherish them as she cherished each of you.  Despite her battle with cancer her thoughts were always on what she could do for others  The words of kindness and inspiration she gave us here are the legacy project she left for us.

Rest easy,@Strongwoman thank you for everything, you will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered. 💔

@Stongwoman was my first contact with OVdialogue and she welcomed me with kindness, compassion and curiosity to understand both my personal journey and my immediate needs in joining the forum. She provided so much inspiration and support to the members of this forum, drawing upon her own challenges and strength while also seeking input from others, to share and unite us in helping each other. She was honest. She was a friend. She will be sorely missed.
    Rest in Peace @Strongwoman.

By her tag name alone, Strongwoman was a beacon of hope to us all. Strong is what we have to be when there is no other choice, but she showed us great strength and caring. It is so very sad, when in the midst of our warriors, one of us falls. She is one of the first I followed when I found you all. I realized her battle was  getting harder, when she passed the torch to Alwayslearning. By her example and in her memory, we will fight on and share our knowledge and care for each other. Peace be with you Strongwoman.

Strongwoman was my pillar of strength. She was warm, caring, and always provided support to pull me through the tough times. Her wit and humour brought smiles when needed. Such a beautiful soul.

Rest well, dear friend. It's been an honor to know you.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Strongwoman and I spent the last couple of days thinking about her. I didn't know her long as I joined our dialogue a few months ago, but found her to be the calm in the midst of my emotional storms: asking me straight-forward questions, and offering support in a way that grounded me. When she started to feel more unwell, I was struck by her openness and honesty to tell us about her end of life preparations. Witnessing her courage to face life so bravely helped me become more courageous in my own life. I am forever thankful to have been touched by her knowledge and grace.
