PHASE 1/2 (21-DAY CYCLE)
6 CYCLES ONLY
SAFETY CHECK
The trial is now officially complete.
CA125 has increased slightly!! Does that mean I am progressing already? Of course, that is where my mind goes. Wait and see.
NEXT STEPS
CT scan Addendum So, the CT scan report was updated and indicates that although there is a lesion, it may not be new. They think it may be a mobile deposit because they saw a lesion of similar shape in both the December and October scans – just not in the exact same spot.
CT scan My next CT scan is schedule in April. My mobile deposit will be reassessed in this scan and we will see if I am stable or progressing.
Move forward No new growth = chemo holiday!! YAY!! So, until progression, I will be free of the chemo drugs, travelling and being away from home. Good for the body and soul!
When progression is noted, I will be eligible for another trial and will explore that option again. The other option will be to return to standard of care drugs – the next one for me is Gemcitabine.
Care Team Since I am now out of the trial, I am going to remain with my PMH care team rather than revert back to my London oncologist at this time. Until I know what direction I am headed, I feel that staying with PMH is my best option at this time.
