Hi Everyone,
I am 6 months into Lynparza treatment and my bloodwork continues to be stable. All my cancer markers (CA 125, etc.) are within the normal range and my kidneys have slightly improved from last month. Still not functioning as well as hoped for, but definitely not in the danger zone. I am thrilled, as next week is the long flight (16 hours) to Singapore and then further on to Vietnam! I have no previous health concerns related to blood clots, but I guess cancer causes some risks, so I will make sure I do all the preventative things before, during and after the flight (hydration, compression socks, movement and stretching). Also baby aspirin is suggested, so I will do that too.
We are vaccinated and will have an arsenal of over-the-counter meds should we encounter gastrointestinal issues (which are not common, as long as we don't drink the tap water or eat raw vegetables), or sore throats, etc. We are ready for an adventure of our lifetime!
