Hi @Courtenay. Are you new to the forum? If yes welcome. You've found a save space for women to share, inspire and learn from each other.
I was amazed when I saw you have been on Olaparib for 8 years. If you wouldn't mind sharing, what province are you in? So many of us on Olaparib (Lynparza) have been told that 2 years is the maximum so it's always hopeful when we learn about someone who has been taking it for longer than that. Also are you on full dosage? I'm 16 months in at this point and I'm in Ontario. Also what has your oncology team said about the risk? I was told about it at the outset and read up on that prior to taking it. Since it's been 8 years for you I'm curious of they said something recently that raised your curiosity. I'm also curious if you are monitored. For me I'm still monitored with bloodwork every 2 months.
I'm on a Lynparza/Olaparib Support group on Facebook and there are quite a few women in the forum that have been on Olaparib for years. Some 11+ years or more. It's an international forum of woman so you have to dig a bit into their stories to understand their locations and what is support in their country.
Thanks for asking the question. I'm going to be very curious to read this thread.
