Recurrence #3

I seem to be on a long, bumpy road with cancer. It feels as though my destiny is uncertain -- like the universe isn't sure what to do with me!

I finished chemo (recurrence #2) only in June 2024 ending with pretty good results though knowing I had still a couple of small spots on my liver. In September it became clear something wasn't quite right - heavy, chronic discharge. CTScan is December showed spots on liver substantially bigger and cancer on the vaginal cuff (which is where the discharge is coming from).

Treatment: chemo again! And possibly radiation.

Just not sure if I can do yet another round -- makes life more challenging than I ever thought.

How many recurrences do others have?

I have been living with ovarian cancer for 5 and a half years now.

Thanks for listening/reading.

  • I’m so sorry to hear about your reoccurrence. How are you feeling? Do you feel strong enough for more chemo? I am almost a year from frontline and my ca has ticked up a bit which makes me nervous. Do you go on the Inspire forum for ovarian cancer? It’s a very large group and it’s very active. Perhaps you can get some additional information/support about reoccurrences there as well.
