Zejula How long to take it?
I have been on Zejula since Feb. 2022. I started on 200 mg but had to stop when my platelets went low. I went back on taking 100 mg when my platelets went back to a normal range. I have been taking it ever since. I have been NED and my CA125 is staying around 11. It will soon be 3 years that I have been taking Zejula. During my last appointment with my oncologist told me we will have a more thorough discussion in Feb. wether I should go off or stay on Zejula. I have been looking and can’t seem to find any info about the pros and cons on continuing with Zejula.
Is there anyone out there that has been on Zejula for more than 3 years?

Hi @suesage
I’m not on Zejula rather I’m on Lynparza (4months in). Sorry I can’t answer your question however if you don’t mind me asking how did they determine you’d go to Zejula vs Lynparza? I’m BRCA-2 positive so perhaps that’s a factor? I’m always curious on how decisions are made on one vs the other. I do know someone who was on Lynparza for over 3 years. I was told I could only stay on Lynparza for a max 2 years.

Hi always learning
I am BRCA negative. I did well on chemo. When I finished with chemo and surgery, my ctscan was NED and my CA 125 was well within the normal range so my gynaecologist said I was a good candidate for Zejula. It is my understanding because I was BRCA negative that Zejula is the drug of choice.
I hope this helps. I hope you are doing well on Lynparza.0 -

@suesage thanks for the info. I am tolerating well aside from low WBC and RBC counts (thanks for asking) but my oncologist at PMH is not concerned with the numbers as they are expected.

I started Zejula in September 2022. During my most recent oncologist visit, the doc confirmed that I would continue until Sept 2025 and then discontinue.

Thank you for sharing. It seems this is the standard, based on the research they have gathered so far.
