    I've finally joined the dialogue to connect more with my Teal Sisters! 🤩

    Hi @DiamondGoddessYYC welcome to the group! If I lived in Calgary I would definitely be at your social. It sounds fun! I am in ontario. Diagnosed 3C finished front line one year ago. Currently on Zejula. So nice to connect with another teal sister.

    Hello @DiamondGoddessYYC and welcome to the group. I'm in the Toronto area but you Calgary social sounds fun. The Teal Sisters here are a wealth of knowledge and information, plus pretty darn good at providing virtual support when needed. If you are comfortable and haven't already, please feel free to introduce yourself and tell us your story. We tend to learn a lot from each other.     Hi @Alwayslearning. Well, I thought my last treatment was Boxing Day.... but the results of my CT Scan in January showed otherwise.  I decided not to look at the results before my follow-up appointment on January 20th and for 2 weeks I was feeling great.  I was going out and seeing people and almost felt "normal" at times.  I had myself absolutely convinced that I was going to be in the clear.  So when they said the CT still showed some spots on the peritoneum the disappointment was rather profound and I burst into tears the the doctors office (very not me).  It was almost as if I was being told "you have cancer" again.  It took me a week or so to get there, but I'm now focusing on the positive again.  The spots are responding to the chemo and considering I was diagnosed in July 2024 with Stage 4 OC the results are actually really encouraging.

    They did say 3 to 6 more rounds of chemo after surgery - so I guess it's 6.  That will be 9 in total and a friend reminded me of the 9 rounds in a boxing match and coming out victorious.  They reduced the dose of the Cisplatin after the Boxing Day round and that made a huge difference for the nausea and vomiting so this last round wasn't as bad... I can definitely do 2 more.   April can't come soon enough!

    @BennieTBear I am sorry to hear the outcome of your CT, especially as you were feeling so great. I can only imagine hearing the news. My CT scan (first in 6 months) is tonight and like you, I don't pre-read the results too far ahead. I'll look at them the day of my appointment (Feb 13th 🤞🤞). 
    As you say however, the spots are responding to the chemo and that's very positive news. I'm glad they were able to adjust the Cisplatin to alleviate the side effects. You've got this "9 round battle". I'll be putting positive energy out into the universe for you!!
