In this session, Alison will provide an overview of the many members of your health care team, define their roles, and help you determine which providers may be able to offer the best support at different times throughout your ovarian cancer experience. They will also offer some tips and tricks so that you can get the most out of your interactions with your health care team, especially when these interactions can feel very rushed and overwhelming. Lastly, they will introduce you to Ovarian Cancer Canada’s resources that have been designed to help you have effective conversations with your healthcare team along different points of the ovarian cancer continuum – from prevention and diagnosis through to treatment, follow-up care, and even clinical trials.
