This is an online educational
support group for all cancer patients and survivors with any diagnosis and
stage whom are having chronic problems with sleep (insomnia).
Participants will be asked to
track their sleep patterns in an online diary for 7 days for each
week the group is in session. Participants will be provided feedback by the
facilitator on improving their sleep each week.
This is an educational support
group with weekly skill building topics based on a published cancer manual on
sleep. Weekly chapters are delivered to your inbox which may take up to 30
minutes to read plus extra time for the exercise in which participants can
complete at their own pace prior to each weekly session.
This site offers some great online support sessions. You can sign up to receive the notices and you'll get an email when they become available. Times, dates and topics vary throughout the year. Starting July 6th - there is an online support session for dealing with Fear of Recurrence. More details can be found here: https://cancerchat.desouzainstitute.com/users/register/66
Hello all, this radio clip from CBC (Brian Goldman, “White Coat, Black Art”) focuses on cancer coaching. Having experienced the benefits of this practice (from the Ottawa Cancer Foundation, where they made the doc), wanted to share the link. It’s a great (free) service. I hope that more of thesecoaching services will spread through our provincial and regional cancer networks: https://www.cbc.ca/radio/whitecoat/how-cancer-coaches-help-patients-navigate-an-overwhelming-diagnosis-1.4878003
A while back - someone asked about scheduling websites - to engage your community or support groups with help and assistance....I found this pamphlet at my local resource centre - www.mylifeline.org It is USA based
Hoping for something Canadian based and focused there may be other types out there so it is worth a look around if this is something you are interested in, or perhaps someone has another source to share.
